At WordCamp US, which this year takes place from November 1-3, WordPress co-founder Matt Mullenweg traditionally holds his State of the Word keynote where he talks about the latest development in the WordPress ecosystem. You could also call it the WordPress winter update.
Since a couple of years, we now also have WordCamp Europe, which takes place in the summer, so Matt’s keynote could therefore also be called the WordPress summer update. As far as we remember, that’s also how Matt called it himself, although the video on WordPress.TV is entitled Matt on WordPress.
The second part of this recording is a Q&A section which is also traditionally part of his summer and winter updates. Although MC Caspar Hübinger in the beginning of the Q&A part explicitly asked for concise questions, the first one turned out to be more of a monologue. But listen for yourself.
