Der Zürcher Payment Service Provider Datatrans und die Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz haben am 01.07. den 12. E-Commerce Report Schweiz veröffentlicht, der jetzt Commerce Report Schweiz heisst.
Der starke Konsum im Internet setzt sich fort: 2019 haben SchweizerInnen für gut 10 Mrd. Franken online eingekauft. Damit ist das E-Commerce Volumen um 8% gestiegen. Auch 2020 rechnen fast alle Studienteilnehmer mit Wachstum. Durch COVID-19 erfährt der E-Commerce einen zusätzlichen Schub und dürfte 2020 bis zu dreimal so hoch ausfallen wie 2019.
Die umfangreiche Befragung der 35 marktprägendsten Schweizer Online- und Multichannel-AnbieterInnen bestätigt: Onlineshops waren die Profiteure des achtwöchigen Lockdowns. «Auf Basis der Anfang Juni verfügbaren Daten wird 2020 mit einem Wachstum von 22 bis 30% gerechnet und damit mit einer Verdopplung bis Verdreifachung im Vergleich zum Vorjahr», fasst Studienleiter Prof. Ralf Wölfe zusammen.

Run my Accounts für WooCommerce 1.4.0
Am 29. Juni 2020 haben wir Version 1.4.0 unseres WordPress bzw. WooCommerce Plugins für die Buchhaltungs-Software Run my Accounts veröffentlicht.
Es wurden 4 neue Funktionen integriert, ein Bug gefixt und 5 Optimierungen implementiert, sowie die Kompatibilität mit WordPress 5.4.2 und WooCommerce 4.2.2 getestet.

WordPress 5.5 “Eckstine”
WordPress 5.5 was released on August 11, 2020, named “Eckstine” in honor of Billy Eckstine. This latest and greatest version of WordPress is available for download or update in your dashboard.
In WordPress 5.5, your site gets new power in three major areas:
speed, search, and security.
Magento 2.4
The next major version of Magento was released on July 28, 2020. Magento Open Source 2.4.0 introduces support for PHP 7.4, Elasticsearch 7.6.x, and MySQL 8.0. Substantial security changes include the enablement of two-factor authentication in the Admin by default.
With this release, the Authorize.Net and Braintree payment method integrations have been removed from core code. Merchants should migrate to the official extensions that are available on the Magento Marketplace.
This release includes all the improvements to core quality that were included in Magento 2.3.5-p1, over 100 new fixes to core code, and 30 security enhancements. It includes the resolution of 226 GitHub issues by our community members. These community contributions range from minor clean-up of core code to significant enhancements in Inventory Management and GraphQL.
WooCommerce 4.4
WooCommerce 4.4 is publicly available since August 18, 2020! It has been in development since July 2020 and the core has been updated with about 450 commits from 24 contributors.
This is a minor release, which means everything is backward compatible with the previous version.
As always, WooCommerce recommends creating a backup of your site and making sure that themes and plugins are compatible before updating. You can check out this update guide for more information.
WooCommerce 4.4.1 Fix Release
WooCommerce 4.4.1 was released on August 19, 2020. It fixes a few bugs that were introduced with 4.4.0, including compatibility with other plugins. It is highly recommend to upgrade to this version.
WooCommerce 4.3
WooCommerce 4.3 was released on July 8 with several new features and improvements. This version of WooCommerce requires PHP 7.2+ and WordPress 5.2.
WooCommerce improved their update testing and therefore removed update warnings for incompatibilities for minor updates that shouldn’t make issues.
WooCommerce 4.3.1 Fix Release
WooCommerce shipped another release on July 21, 2020 that contains two bugfixes for the WooCommerce Admin and Blocks packages.
WooCommerce 4.3.2 Fix Release
A small fix release that improves the compatibility with WordPress 5.5 was released on August 10, 2020.
WooCommerce 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 Update
WooCommerce 4.2.1 was released on June 22 with some minor bug fixes and security enhancements.
This update contains following changes:
- Security fix: Escape HTML in SelectWoo.
- Update to WooCommerce Admin 1.2.4
- Update reduce asset filename length and remove tilde characters.
- RTL stylesheet is now loading for split code chunks.
WooCommerce 4.2.2 was released one day after 4.2.1 with one fix for:
- Put back the remove element for multiselects on selectWoo.
Lighthouse 6.1.1
Many web developers use Google PageSpeed Insights on a regular basis. PageSpeed Insights analyzes the content of a web page and generates suggestions to make that page faster. PageSpeed Insights runs on Lighthouse, an open-source, automated tool for improving the quality of web pages.
On July 7, 2020 Lighthouse developer Connor Clark released version 6.1.1 of Lighthouse, which was a patch release to fix an issue that only occurred in 6.1.0 for Node environments.
