FAQ
What is a Wapuu?
Wapuu is the cartoon-like animal character and official/unofficial mascot of WordPress. Wapuu swag has been created and collected at WordCamps around the world. Wapuu’s copyright is held by its original creator Kazuko Kaneuchi, and it is licensed under the GPL v2 or later.
What is an NFT?
NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token, which is a type of digital asset that represents ownership or proof of authenticity of a unique item or piece of content, such as art, music, videos. NFTs are stored on a blockchain, which is a decentralized digital ledger that records all transactions and ownership information.
What is OpenSea?
OpenSea is the largest decentralized marketplace for buying and selling NFTs. OpenSea was founded in 2017 and allows users to buy, sell, and discover a wide range of NFTs, including digital art, gaming items, virtual real estate, and more. The platform is open to anyone, and anyone can create an account and start buying and selling NFTs.
What is Polygon?
Polygon is a Layer 2 scaling solution for the Ethereum blockchain. It was previously known as Matic Network before rebranding in 2021. The Polygon network aims to address the high transaction fees and slow transaction times on the Ethereum network by providing a faster and more cost-effective alternative.
What is Discord?
Discord is a popular communication platform designed for gamers, but has since expanded to include other communities as well. It allows users to create servers, which are essentially chat rooms, where members can send messages, make voice and video calls, and share files.
What is a Web3 wallet?
A Web3 wallet is a type of cryptocurrency wallet that allows users to interact with decentralized applications (dApps) on the blockchain. These wallets are designed to securely store a user’s private keys and allow them to interact with dApps without needing to leave the wallet interface.
Web3 wallets are different from traditional cryptocurrency wallets in that they are designed specifically for use with dApps and typically have additional features such as support for multiple cryptocurrencies and the ability to interact with smart contracts.
One popular example of a web3 wallet is MetaMask, which is a browser extension that allows users to interact with dApps on the Ethereum blockchain. Other examples include Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect, and Ledger.
How do I buy a Swiss Wapuu NFT?
1. Go to the Wapuu collection on opensea.io and connect your Web3 wallet.
2. Click on the wallet icon and make sure you have at least 20 Swiss Francs worth of ETH.
3. Bridge at least 10 Swiss Francs to Polygon.
4. Go to the Wapuu you want to buy and make an offer of at least 10 Swiss Francs.
Why should I buy an NFT for a GPL licensed Wapuu?

Please also remember that the Swiss Wapuu NFT Collection is a non-profit art project. Any proceeds will be used to support Swiss WordPress meetups.
What is Ether?
Ether (ETH) is the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain.
