Migrating Data from Magento 1 to Magento 2

Migrating Data from Magento 1 to Magento 2

This is probably one of the funniest Magento developer talks and a very relevant one, too. It’s hard to believe that this was Tadhg Bowe’s first talk ever. Not only at a Magento event, but on any stage. It took place at The Commedy Store on November 12, 2016 during Mage Titans, a Magento developer conference organized by Magento community members.

Tadhg explains what Magento’s data migration tool is all about. Follow what happens when a real world Enterprise client decides to migrate! How was the migration investigated, what actually happened, how were issues resolved, what were the workarounds, how was go-live planned. All this in 15 minutes no problem! Including a small excursus on how to use Dutch toilets.

One thing that becomes clear from the talk is that it’s probably not going to be as easy to migrate data from Magento 1 to Magento 2 as you thought. It’s clear that you will also need to migrate your extensions, but this talk is mostly concerned with the database.

Thanks for sharing this guide, I am using Magento, before Magento, I was using Shopify because that time I had only 45 products in my store. But consecutively I added more categories and products increased from 45 to 1024, I was having site loading issue then I moved to Cloudways Magento hosting,https://www.cloudways.com/en/magento-managed-cloud-hosting.php, I migrated website just in some minutes through their managed platform.
